Table 4A.
Inhibitory effect of TRYP and TRYP-Ox on IL-1β-induced IL-6 and MMP-1/3 secretion by monocytic THP-1 cells, synovial SW982 cells, and HUVEC.

The cells were treated with compounds for 30 min and then activated with 5 ng/ml IL-1β. After 24 h incubation, MMP-1/3 and IL-6 were evaluated in the supernatants by ELISA. IC50 values are presented as the mean ± S.D. of three to four independent experiments. #p < 0.05 compared with TRYP.
