TV methanolic extract induces apoptosis in cancer cells. The results show morphological changes following treatment of cancer cell with 15 µM of methanolic extract. As earlier shown in caspase 3/7 activity, MD MBA231, HeLa and ME180 treated with IC50 showed apoptotic bodies with some cells showing shrinkage and condensation which are typical apoptotic morphological characteristics. In each panel, the bottom quadrant contains apoptotic cells that are positive for Annexin V. except MCF-7 that showed no positive staining.
