Those subjects meeting the relative exclusion criteria were allowed to participate in the study at a later date, 1 to 3 months after these conditions were resolved. A total of 426 children were invited to participate; 43 potential subjects were excluded according to the described exclusion criteria. Of these, 12 subjects were re-enrolled. Ultimately, 395 healthy children were recruited for our study.
