The number of cocaine IVSA infusions earned by rats in an ‘active’ lever press (A-fixed ratio; B-progressive ratio) was higher in WD fed rats relative to controls. There were also significantly more lever presses in a fixed ratio schedule during non-drug periods in WD-fed rats, indicating decreased behavioral inhibition in these rats.
