MMR for Chinook salmon (open triangles) and Atlantic salmon (solid circles), which tended to be higher (across species, P < 0.001) in fish that reached a higher maximum swimming speed during measurement of O2 (same data in Fig. 1). There was a modest positive effect (across species) of water temperature (P = 0.02); model fits based on 16°C (blue) and 20°C (red) are shown.
