(a) Cultures of S. aureus FPR3757 were grown without (left) or with (right) 10 μg/ml LL-37 for 10 min and spotted on vancomycin plates (1.5 μg/ml). (b) Cultures of S. aureus FPR3757 were grown with 10 μg/ml LL-37 for 60 min and LL-37 was removed from the medium in a subset of the culture (left), while exposure to LL-37 was maintained in the other subset (right). After 0, 60 and 90 min, the cultures where plated on agar plates containing vancomycin (1.5 μg/ml).
