EE-TT promotes the nuclear translocation of Nrf2 in H2O2-treated ARPE-19 cells. ARPE-19 cells were pretreated with or without 1 mM H2O2 for 24 h, followed by a 24 h exposure to ethanol extracts of Tribulus terrestris (EE-TT). The results of Western blot analyses for protein abundance of Nrf2 in the cytoplasm (a) and nucleus (b) with quantification data are showed and the fold changes vs. control sample (nontreatment) are presented in the bar graph. Data are shown as mean ± SD, p < 0.05, ∗∗p < 0.01, ∗∗∗p < 0.001 vs. the nontreatment control sample; #p < 0.05, ##p < 0.01, ###p < 0.001 vs. the sample with H2O2 treatment alone.
