SILAC incorporation into MalS during spore germination and outgrowth. B. subtilis PY79 ¹⁴N-labeled spores (day 4) were germinated in MOPS minimal medium with l-lysine ¹³C₆¹⁵N₂ and l-arginine ¹³C₆¹⁵N₄ hydrochloride (Silantes; referred to here as SILAC) along with a mixture of AGFK and l-alanine as described previously (Swarge et al., submitted).
