Each dot indicates the adjustment in a single trial, the black line represents the smoothed (Gaussian kernel with SD = 4 trials) time course of size adjustments. The green line is the model fit. Right panel: amplitude and lag parameters for each observer in the decrease-first and increase-first groups (right). The thicker markers are for observers (#10 and #11). Note that in every case the sign of the amplitude corresponds to the one expected based on the time course of the physical manipulation in the respective group.
