aMICs of imipenem and meropenem alone on E. coli BL21 (DE3) with ImiS were 16 and 64 μg mL–1, respectively. The MICs of imipenem and meropenem on E. coli without ImiS in the absence and presence of benzenesulfonamides were 0.25 and 0.0375 μg mL–1, respectively.
