Comparisons of macrophage-like cells in six healthy controls and three patients with different retinal pathologies obtained at the temporal retina. Two ROIs with relatively higher and lower cell densities were shown in each patient. Macrophage-like cells in controls appear more slender with spindle- or star-like configuration. In patients, the cells look relatively larger and plumper with fewer protrusions. Each panel is 300 µm × 300 µm in size.
