Articulations are performed in seven consecutive stages: (A) extension, (B) flexion, (C) circumduction with compression, (D) circumduction with traction, (E) abduction, (F) internal rotation, (G) lymphatic pump. Each stage is proceeded by active resistance in that motion. Additional manipulation, such as (H) scapula lift, may be added to supplement the treatment.
