The executive network is depicted in yellow (key areas: ventro- and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, supplementary motor area, and posterior parietal cortex), the salience network in red (key areas: insula and anterior cingulate cortex) and the default mode network in blue (key areas: medial prefrontal cortex, posterior cingulate cortex, and precuneus).
