dGAE and dGAE-488 self-assemble to form structurally similar fibrils. dGAE and dGAE-488 were incubated at 100 μM for 72 h. Aliquots of assembly mixture were taken before (0 h) and after (72 h) fibrillisation for negative-stain TEM, SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis and CD spectroscopy.
