Freshmen biomedical basecamp course objectives.

Students will be introduced to biomedical engineering through active introspective learning

Students will learn to identify a desired need and define the biomedical engineering problem to be solved

Students will work in teams. They will learn to develop team goals and to appreciate the complementary role and expertise of each team member

Students will evaluate a hypothesis through experimental testing and statistical analysis

Students will understand the guidelines for ethical and responsible use of human subjects and data for research

Students will understand professional and ethical standards in the workplace

Students will synthesize, summarize and explain technical content in written reports and oral presentations

Students will recognize the need for self-assessment
