Figure 7

In vitro heating efficiency of CMNPs and MLs as induced by magnetic hyperthermia (MH) or photothermia (PT). A 500 μL solution of CMNPs or MLs prepared in distilled water (corresponding to 0.6 mg/mL CMNPs) was taken in a 2 mL Eppendorf tube and subject to AMF or NIR laser treatment. The tube was placed in the center of a 30.5 mm internal diameter solenoid copper coil for AMF induction at 52 kHz or 808 nm NIR laser exposure at 1.8 W/cm2 from the top (A). The time-lapsed thermal images were acquired from tube bottom with an infrared thermal camera (B) and the peak temperature was plotted as a function of treatment time (C). The control was distilled water without CMNPs.
