Schematic model demonstrating the role of class I HDACs on maspin inhibition. Class I HDACs binds to the maspin promoter along with the transcription factor complex. Silencing of class I HDACs lead to increase in p53 enrichment and its binding to the maspin promoter along with acetylation of Histone H3/H4 in prostate cancer LNCaP cells.
