Triclosan induces AMPK-dependent autophagy in A375 cells. (A) NAC treatment attenuated the triclosan-induced autophagy response. (B) Triclosan-induced LDH release was increased by treatment with the autophagy inhibitor 3-MA. (C) Western blotting results indicated that triclosan inhibited p62 and p-STAT3 protein expression levels, and increased LC3II and p-AMPK expression levels, which were reversed by NAC. AMPK-knockdown increased STAT3 in A375 cells, but LC3II was decreased after triclosan treatment. *P<0.05, **P<0.01.
