Study name Autologous transplantation of cord blood derived stem cells for neonatal hypoxic‐ischaemic encephalopathy
Methods Randomised parallel controlled trial
Participants
  • Inclusion criteria: infants with HIE, less than 24 hours after birth, pH of cord blood < 7.0, Apgar score < 7; 

  • Exclusion criteria: maternal sepsis; chromosome abnormality or contagious disease;  severe congenital anomaly; failure of cord blood collection or transplantation

Interventions Autologous transplantation of cord blood versus standard care
Outcomes
  • Primary outcomes: electroencephalogram; intellectual development; behavior development; neuron specific enolase; diffusion‐weighted imaging

  • Secondary outcomes: clinical presentations; blood routine, urine routine, liver function and kidney function
