Surface-induced dissociation using a Gen 3 device on an EMR Orbitrap platform: (a) full scan mass spectrum of HFQ65 charge reduced using TEAA, (b) SID (315 eV) of the 9+ precursor using the 35k resolution setting (128 ms transient), and (c) SID (315 eV) of the 9+ precursor using the 140k resolution setting (512 ms transient). Insets show the peak at m/z 3594. A bias against the larger oligomers is observed at longer transient lengths due to the increased path length. A comparison is given to the FT-ICR SID spectra of the 10+ charge state with different transient lengths in Figure S19.
