Response of the calcium ion-detecting nanosensor when tested with control ions like sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), and magnesium (Mg2+). Quenching efficiencies of the target ion have been compared with that of the control ions in the pM concentration range (A) as well as in the nM range (B).
