Analytic coding of action verbs used to describe information skills or behaviors in the professional program curricular competencies

Information skills and behaviors were described in a variety of ways depending on whether information skills or behaviors were described explicitly or implicitly and what the competency's category was. However, the most commonly used verb to describe information skills and behaviors was “evaluate.” Evaluation occurs during two of the stages of evidence-based medicine (EBM)/evidence-based veterinary medicine (EBVM) and lies at the intersection of at least two of the frames of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Framework.
