Huh7 cells. (A) The percent of dead cells (CD) was determined by the trypan blue exclusion assay (column 1). The net CD was calculated as the difference between each treatment group and the corresponding control group (column 3). (B) Cell proliferation (CP) was determined as the percent of the total cell number increase over the baseline cell number (column 2). Supra-additivity was calculated in both A and B as the difference between the effect of the Sf/CA combination and the sum of the effects of Sf and CA alone (column 5). The results of the comparison between different control and treatment groups are presented in columns 6–9. The data are means ± SD of three independent experiments performed in triplicate, n = 9.
