Signaling pathway activity downstream of CB_1. Activated CB₁ receptor couples with G_i/o to inhibit adenyl cyclase (AC) activity, thus inhibiting cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) production and protein kinase A (PKA) activity. CB₁ receptor activation also regulates mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) pathways.
