The scale at which the study was conducted: (a, b) The study area was located on the eastern edge of the central Coast Range in western Oregon, USA, at approximately 44°30′0″N 123°30′0″W, (c) we placed 2 nest platforms per ha at 23 randomly located young forest sites.
