MCA factor map for classes of variables. In the MCA factor map, each panel (ae) represents a class of variable. Within the panel, each individual point is colored by its variable category and each ellipse represents the confidence interval for the positioning of the variable category within the two MCA dimensions. This allows for the visual comparison of “profiles” among variable categories. Note the very similar “profiles” of the “high” species richness, “small” body size, and “5” geographic range, implying relationship among these variable categories
