Comparison between self-collected mid-nasal foam and mid-turbinate flocked swabs. A, Viral loads from the same nostril using flocked and foam swabs are concordant, particularly at higher viral loads. B, Differential viral loads with the same swab type, observed between nostrils, show moderate concordance. C, Viral load from the highest nostril strongly agrees with the sum of the 2 nostrils, suggesting that a majority of sampled virus comes from 1 side.
