( A ) In this case, a 51-year-old man suffered closed traumatic rupture of the extensor digitorum communis and EIP at the musculotendinous junction after the patient’s glove on his nondominant left hand became caught in a high-speed drill. ( B ) This was repaired with an FCR to EDC and EIP transfer. ( C, D ) Result at 10 weeks reveals a composite fist and excellent extension of all fingers.
