(A) Effect of the reconstitution of GCN5L1 to native and boiled mitochondrial fractions on protein acetylation (Ac-K). The accompanying histogram shows relative protein acetylation in the native or boiled (denatured) mitochondrial fractions with or without the restoration of GCN5L1. (B) The extent of recombinant histone H3 acetylation in mitochondrial extracts in the presence or absence of GCN5L1. The relative acetylation of histone H3 in the presence or absence of GCN5L1 is shown in the accompanying histogram. Data are expressed a mean ± s.e.m.
