  • Substrates are pH sensitive [80]

  • Several reductants/or antioxidants for e.g., thiols, ascorbate can compete with scopoletin, leading to an underestimation of H2O2 formation [80]

  • Similarly, catalase released from disruption of cells may compete with HRP for H2O2 [80]

  • Quartz cuvettes should be used which are expensive and not affordable by all laboratories
