HFS diet-mediated changes in protein markers of lipid metabolism are altered by botanical supplementation in skeletal muscle. RT-PCR analysis of mRNA expression (E) indicates that transcription was not affected by diet or botanical supplementation, although cd36 mRNA expression differed between the HFS group and the PMI5011-supplemented mice.
