Table 2.

Estimated proportion of Drosophila suzukii infested blueberry fruit applied with two botanical volatile organic compounds and grown under two kinds of plastics in a semi-field bioassay. Spray treatments include control, Ecotrol (rosemary, geraniol, peppermint oils), and Sporan (rosemary, cloves, thyme, peppermint oils). Fruit was harvested 4 days after spraying before incubating at 24 degrees Celsius for 7 days to determine proportion of infested fruit per treatment. No significant differences were detected at the α = 0.05 level.

Spray Estimated Proportion SWD Infested Fruit
(Mean ± SEM)
Control 0.28 ± 0.07
Ecotrol 0.23 ± 0.06
Sporan 0.25 ± 0.06
