We used linear mixed-effect models with colony as fixed factors and bird ID as random intercept. All response variables were log transformed. Intercept DW is the intercept and the estimate for the Colony DW. Model estimates and standard errors are shown for the six colonies. We provided the marginal R2 which represents the variance explained by the fixed factors alone, and the conditional R2 which describes the variance explained by both the fixed and random factors.
