LA induces HIF-1α expression and nuclear translocation in cortex neurons. HIF-1α activity and its cellular localization in the cortex was determined by immunofluorescence staining. HIF-1α was predominantly found in the cytosol and nucleus of cortex neurons in 10 mg/kg LA-treated P301S mice. The red arrowheads point out the translocation of HIF-1α into the nucleus.
