Schematic diagram of the DBD plasma device. (A) The voltage from the autotransformer was amplified in the transformer and applied to the plasma electrodes. The plasma electrode comprised two stainless steel plates 51-mm in diameter, separated by a 2-mm thick alumina ceramic. The lower electrode had 2-mm diameter holes to generate the surface dielectric-barrier discharge. (B) The voltage from the autotransformer was amplified in the transformer and applied to the plasma electrode. The amplitude and frequency of the applied sinusoidal voltage were 4.45 kV and 18.3 kHz, respectively.
