A and B: expression of HIF-1α and HIF-2α was increased in wild-type (WT) mice infused with angiotensin II (ANG II), whereas knockout (KO) of endothelial PHD2 significantly suppressed these increases in both the renal cortex and medulla. C: ANG II infusion downregulated the expression of PHD1 in both the cortex and medulla, whereas KO of endothelial PHD2 prevented this decline.
