Seven percent (108 out of the 1638 patients) died. The largest number of deaths (90%) occurred in the group of patients aged 65 years or older and in the group aged 81–90 years (53% of all deaths).
Altogether 1638 patients were included for analysis. The minimum age was 18, and the maximum—101 years. Of these persons 484 (30%) were adults and 1,154 (70%) were elderly adults.
