It is evident from this data that in alloxan treated Wistar animals there is a significant decrease in the plasma levels of LA, GLA, DGLA and AA that were restored to normal in alloxan + AA treated animals. There were no significant alterations in n-3 fatty acids (ALA, EPA) except that DHA was significantly increased in alloxan treated animals that was restored to normal in alloxan + AA treated animals.
