Reconstruction of three-dimensional geometry of MAs from AOSLO images. (a) The MA is imaged using AOSLO multiply scattered light (MSL) imaging modality. (b) The perfusion map of the corresponding MA is generated by analysing a sequence of MSL images using pixel-by-pixel standard deviation method. The bright region in the map highlights the region with flowing blood. (c) A binary mask of the MA and its feeding and draining vessels are created manually based on (a) and (b) using ImageJ [29]. (d) Three-dimensional models of the MA are generated under the assumption that the MA geometries are rotationally symmetric.
