MALDI-MSI heat maps for phosphatidylinositol (PI) species in knockout (Kn) control (C), knockout stroke (S), wild type (Wt) control, and wild type stroke mouse brains, annotated using Metaspace. All heat maps were acquired using a 15T FT-ICR mass spectrometer with a mass window of ±10 mDa. Mass-to-charge ratios in red indicate that samples were acquired in negative ion mode. PI species appeared to be in a) relatively equal abundance in all four conditions b) with the exception of m/z 909.5498.
