Analysis of Δeps mutants for cell-cell cohesion and agglutination. Cell agglutination assay is shown. One milliliter of exponentially growing cells was transferred to a cuvette. Agglutination was monitored by measuring the decrease in absorbance at 550 nm at 3 h relative to the initial absorbance for each strain.
