mCherry protein is present outside the CEP dendrites. The head region of the OH7193 strain was imaged to show the extracellular presence of mCherry. The presence of mCherry in vicinity of CEP dendrites is classified into three types according to density of mCherry. Both the type II and III are positive, but the type I is negative. A worm is positive if at least one side of CEP dendrites has a type II or type III density of mCherry. a, a worm with positive presence of mCherry in the peri-areas around the CEP dendrites. b, a worm with negative presence of mCherry in the peri-areas around the CEP dendrites.
