Repeated injections of low dose of CYP induced persistent visceral pain. Rats received three doses of CYP (40 mg/kg, i.p.) or saline (5 ml/kg, i.p.) on days 0, 3, and 6. Nociceptive response was assessed in a time-course study over 17 days by application of von Frey filaments of increasing force on the vicinity of the urinary bladder. Nociceptive score was expressed as the percentage of the maximal score for each von Frey force. Data represent mean values ± SEM (n =11 and 12 for CYP and Saline, respectively). ^nsp > 0.05, *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.001 (two-way RM ANOVA).
