miR-131 inhibitor prevented the degeneration of intervertebral disks (IVDs). (A) The pyroptosis in the degenerated nucleus pulposus (NPs) of rat model was measured by western blotting analysis. (B) The level of ROS in normal and degenerated rat NPs. (C) Representative haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) and Safranin O staining, and immunohistochemical detection of collagen II of disks from different groups were observed. All samples were harvested at 16 weeks after injection. (D) The content of sGAG in each group at 0 and 16 weeks after injection were quantified by Blyscan assay.
