In short, 1203 individuals participated in the study (response rate 72.2%). Out of these, 1194 took part in a psychiatric examination. In this paper, participants for whom depression diagnosis could not be established due to missing data (n = 8) and participants with dementia (n = 22) were excluded, leaving 1164 individuals. Out of these, participants with missing data for ≥ 1 PN-SRI items were excluded from the analyses (n = 52), leaving 1112 individuals.
