^†The antimicrobial susceptibility (AST) profile consists of a " − " (susceptible / intermediate) or "R" (resistant) for each of the following antimicrobials (in order): amoxicillin-clavulanate, ceftazidime, chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, cefpodoxime, ceftriaxone, gentamicin, nitrofurantoin, meropenem, and sulphamethoxazole-trimethoprim. Mismatched susceptibility results within an isolate pair are labelled with asterisks "*". Ampicillin and cefpodoxime results were excluded as they were “R” throughout
