Abeliophyllum distichum extracts suppress osteoclast differentiation. (A) BMMs were treated with M-CSF (30 ng/mL) and RANKL (100 ng/mL) in the absence or the presence of increasing concentration of three tissue extracts such as branch extract (BE), fruit extract (FE) and leaf extract (LE) of A. distichum for 3 days. Cells were fixed and stained for TRAP. The representative TRAP staining was shown (left panel) and the number of TRAP-positive multinuclear cells was counted (right panel). (B) BMMs were cultured with M-CSF (30 ng/mL) in the presence of extracts of A. distichum and cell proliferation was measured by MTT assays.
