Normal food is defined according to the individual, religious, economic, and environmental factors influencing patients' eating habits.

Raw solid diet includes raw carrot, pear, peanut, and almond. Cooked solid diet includes “chapatis,” cooked mutton/chicken, cooked vegetables, and steamed gram/corn. Semisolid diet consisted of porridge, “kheer,” mashed potatoes, and boiled pulses/sago. Liquid diet includes milk, buttermilk, fruit juices, water, etc.

Oral cavity is divided into hard palate, soft palate, oropharynx, tongue, floor of mouth, upper and lower gingiva, upper and lower labial mucosa, and both buccal mucosa separately.
