FGF9 enhances the migration of hepatoma/hepatocarcinoma cells over‐expressing FGFR3‐IIIc. (A), Cells, over‐expressing either the control vector or FGFR3‐IIIb/IIIc, were grown to confluence and switched to serum‐free medium. Monolayers were scratched by 200μl pipette tips, followed by rinsing and treatment with 10 ng FGF9/ml medium. After 48 h the total area of scratches was measured by ImageJ software. (B), 2 x 10⁴ cells were seeded onto cell culture migration inserts. The cells, which had migrated through the insert within 48 h, were fixed, stained with crystal violet and counted.
