Effect of different LCFA on Caco-2 cell growth (A) and DNA synthesis (B) in absence of growth factors. Myristoleic, palmitoleic, stearic, oleic, elaidic, linoleic, α-linolenic, γ-linolenic, mead, AA, EPA, erucic, and DHA were incubated with Caco-2 cells at 1, 10, 50, and 100 µM (dot, gray, line, and black bars, respectively) without FBS for 48 h and were then counted or DNA synthesis measured by cell BrdU incorporation.
